Oleg Yefremov's production of the play that "created" The Moscow Art Theater and became one of the most influential plays of the 20th century, is as traditional as any deep and precise reading of it must be. Restored in 2001, the production lost none of Yefremov's depth but acquired second wind thanks to the cast. Young masters of the stage approach The Seagull's immortal characters in their own unique ways while keeping true to the director's outline and the general atmosphere of the original production. The play breathes to the rhythm of the present day due to their outstanding performances.
