... There's an annual event taking place right now in Canada, and that is the Toronto Russian Film Festival. Every now and then I tell you about film festivals being held here in Moscow. We get to learn more about the film industry of different countries and what they're interested in. Well, this time we introduce our culture to Canada. As I said, this is an annual event which was set up to promote and celebrate the art of Russian and Russian-language post-Soviet cinema. The festival kicked off on May 12th and will finish on Sunday. Another film on offer is Moscow, I Love You!, and, as the name suggests, it's all about the Russian capital. It's a replica of the movies about New York and Paris where basically there are a lot of short stories set in one city. Here we see 18 short films which showcase several generations of filmmakers. The stories show important and memorable moments of our city. There's everything from love, hope to betrayal and disappointment. In this screening visitors will be able to hear from director Alla Surikova. ...
