Prominent Russian actor Yevgeny Mironov will play Fyodor Dostoyevsky in an 8-part television miniseries by director Vladimir Khotinenko this autumn. Speaking at a news conference before the opening of the Golden Mask Festival in St. Petersburg, Mironov said he was using his visit to Petersburg to learn more of Dostoyevsky places in the city which would help him take to the role. Mironov features in a long spell of Dostoyevsky's life, and the filming starts in October and will last till June 2010.
