STEIN'S HAMLET BACK ON

Peter Stein's much-vaunted staging has the brilliant Yevgeny Mironov playing a saxophone

Take the second chance to see one of the most hyped theatrical events of the fading season. Eight months after its premiere at the Russian Army Theater, German director Peter Stein's Hamlet is back after a scaled-down touring program for a second run at the Yuri Nikulin Circus starting Wednesday. Stein's interpretation has been criticized for a lack of invention, but a fine Russian cast led by one of Russia's brightest stars, Yevgeny Mironov, still makes it a must-see.
