A Moscow company led by Yevgeny Mironov presents the performance Figaro. The Events of One Day on February 3 and 4 at the Alexandrinsky Theater.

This recent Moscow premiere has become a remarkable event of the city's high life, provoking a lot of contradictory reviews. But reviewers share the same opinion: every period of history calls for its own character, and today we see a shrewd and freed-of-illusions Figaro performed by Yevgeny Mironov – a character created by the cruel and unsentimental world of today. Director Kirill Serebrennikov refused to use a classic translation of the comedy and offered his own version based on the translation by Maria Zonina. This bright show reveals some social prototypes of today's "slaves" and "masters" of life.

An interesting point is that Yevgeny Mironov, who has recently taken the lead of the Theater of Nations, is also the producer of the show. Yevgeny and Kirill (the director) engaged a great company of Moscow's stars. The Events of One Day is performed for the audience by Lia Akhedzhakova, Avangard Leontiev, Vitaly Khayev, Yelena Morozova, Iuliya Peresild, Aleksandr Novin, Anna Ukolova and Andrei Fomin.
