On October 5, 2009, Russia's Theater of Nations (Moscow) starts a new project "Shekspir@Shakespeare".

The project will showcase Russian and foreign performances based on Shakespeare's plays. Organizers hope that in future this project will develop into an international Shakespeare festival in Moscow. The program of the upcoming 2009 edition of Shekspir@Shakespeare will consist of four performances: Hamlet by Israel's Cameri Theater (Tel-Aviv), Hamlet by Oscaras Korshunovas Theater Company (Vilnius), King Lear by The Nizhny Novgorod Children Theater and Romeo and Juliet directed by Vladimir Pankov.
