The opening of the festival of modern art TERRITORIЯ was held at Vorobiovy Gory station in Moscow on the night of 14-15 October, 2006.

Actor Yevgeny Mironov, director Kirill Serebrennikov, actress Chulpan Khamatova, musician Teodor Currentzis, specialists in drama study Roman Dolzhansky and Andrei Urayev organized the Festival.

The group Stone Shades performed for the guests.

At the ceremony dedicated to the opening of the TERRITORIЯ Festival actor Yevgeny Mironov pointed out that the metro had been chosen for the festive opening of the TERRITORIЯ because it was a symbol of the democratic and underground orientation of the Festival.
