Three lucky fashion designers who took part in Russian Fashion Week this spring have received grants from the Action in Support of Russian Theatrical Initiatives. They are Alyona Akhmadulina from St. Petersburg, Sultanna Frantsuzova from Moscow and Olga Romina from Kirov.

Each grant will finance the production of a collection of clothes and costumes by each of the designers. Theater actor Yevgeny Mironov explained the idea behind such grants at a meeting of the Council on Culture and Arts that operates within the presidential administration. President Vladimir Putin liked the idea and it was adopted by the Council.
